Fast Friday Fabric Challenge

Two challenge quilts finished this week and I'm thirilled.

This is my Fast Friday Fabric Challenge. Titled "Cosmic Swirl," this challenge was to use movement and embellishement. (18" x18")

This has commercial fabric both cotton for the background and something I found in the remnant bin for the swirl. My embellishments were amethyst and bronze colored beads that I used to couch the fishing flash fibers that I allowed to continue out past the end of the quilt. I used a pillow case method of "binding" the quilt and then quilted thru all the layers. It's one of the first times my mind's vision of what I wanted to do actually came out in fabric. Ususally I feel I've failed in the execution, but not this time!

All in all, it's been a productive week and I'm pleased with what I've accomplished!
