A New Year and A New Word

Happy New Year! I started my year with a brunch for a small group of friends. What a nice way to welcome the new year and gather a wonderful group of people together. These are the people who are my family by choice and they are very supportive of my creative endeavors.

I belong to an online group called Quilt Art. Someone started a thread about choosing a word for the year and I chose "forward" as my word for 2010. I want to move forward in my creative process. When 2010 is done, I want to feel as though I've accomplished something. So with that in mind, I spent part of this morining starting to organize my sewing space so that I can find the things I have and stop buying replacements for things I know are in there somewhere.

This afternoon will be spent doing some knitting and deciding how to complete a small piece that I printed over a year ago. I'll post photos as I progress.
